A little background on “Walsh Wednesday” and where I want things to go:

It started out as a monthly event that I did back in high school where I’d bring in my guitar and play music for people in the cafeterias.  I would normally keep it upbeat and inspirational to help lighten the load of the stresses of classes and life.  It later evolved into a little web series in freshman year of college where I wanted it to be a platform for music and motivation.  I have featured a number of artists from the Saint Rose community on it for my “Concert Series” specials, and have included community and charity highlights to help shed light on important topics and causes.  Then, during the earlier months of the pandemic, I did weekly live stream concerts for friends and family.  I would assess the vibe of the week, along with taking recommendations, and would create various themes.

After taking a break, I want to return to more narrative/interview based episodes, along with turning it into a podcast. In this new podcast format, this will be a part of what I will be calling “Walsh Wednesday: The Reflective Series.” I want to sit down and talk with people in various job fields about how Covid has affected business, but also highlight the creativity and process people have been making, especially speaking with colleagues in the music and film industries, along with continuing to highlight charity organizations.  Besides that, I really want to focus on the topic of mindfulness throughout.  During this pandemic, I got to a point where I felt very lost and outside myself.  It was a bit of an identity crisis of sorts, and I’ve been looking for positive outlets in order to learn, grow, and rebuild.  As I’m finding my way back, I want to highlight and dedicate other episodes to topics that are important to me, such as loss/grieving, alcohol abuse, therapy, benefits of meditation, and various aspects of the healthcare system.  Now, I am reaching out to you for a specific topic; however, if you have anything you want to say about any other topic, or know anyone who may be good to talk to, please let me know.  “Walsh Wednesday” is supposed to be a dialogue, not a monologue, and I am open to suggestions.  You can check out past episodes on my YouTube page, along with other content.  https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCDmwN1630K73E-jEMOS8azA

As for my music, you’ll get an inside peak on what is going on!

I will be keeping you up-to-date on album preparation, I will be asking for opinions on new material, and I’ll be occasionally offering special Q&A’s and live streams regarding content.

In regard to my upcoming album, I will finally be releasing my 2nd full length album (1st studio recorded album) and senior capstone project, Away From Home, on Black Friday, November 27th!

Why am I just putting this out now? Well, I held off releasing it publicly immediately following my senior playback back in December of 2019 because I wanted the chance to promote it. Prior to Covid, I was planning a small tour to coincide with a summer release. Unfortunately, that all changed, and from the moment things shut down, I’ve been waiting for the “right moment.” But sometimes there is no right moment unless you just make it happen. As I’ve said many times, if the opportunity isn’t there for you, then make it for yourself.

This album chronicles my first three years in college. During quarantine alone, I have changed so much. I am in whole new place in life. I’ve experienced so much, bared many emotions, and have written so much new material since then. I’ve held onto some of these songs up to 4 years now, and it feels good to finally set it free so I can move on to the next chapter.

I have a lot more coming out in anticipation of the release, so stay tuned. Thank you all for your continuous support and love! We’ve got much more to come!
